Teach me your ways.
When I want nothing more than to seek vengeance against those who’ve hurt me; teach me your ways.
When I want to give up in frustration with the children you’ve given me; teach me your ways.
When, just for once, I want things to go my way, according to my plan; teach me your ways.
When there are too many bills, not enough money and more work than energy; teach me your ways.
When I want to protect myself and my family rather than extend myself into the lives of others; teach me your ways.
When I’d rather complain in frustration than thank in hope; teach me your ways.
Psalm 25:3-5 (NIV)
No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
who are treacherous without cause.
Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long
