The Storm is Passed, All Is Quiet, But Dark: The Aftermath of Sandy in Bethlehem, PA

My apologies with for the long silence. At a time when I should be busy on the internet blogging, getting established on facebook and twitter, and promoting my new book, we’re still out of power thanks to Hurricane Sandy. I’m holed up at my parent’s house during the day with the two kids where I am now able to check my email and use their fridge to salvage as much of my frozen food as possible. The whole family has a nasty cold and my husband gets ready to head away on business in just a few days. Yikes! I’m grateful for a warm place to go and cook hot meals, which is more than I know many have right now. I’m also immensely grateful that our house suffered no major damage in the storm, aside from 72 hour and counting loss of power. Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow for Five Minute Friday and back in full force next weeks.
